William L Thornholt

Palmer-William L. Thornholt, 64, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 surrounded by his loving family..  Bill was born in Hartford, CT to the late Walter and Ann (Gunderson) Thornholt.  He grew up in East Longmeadow and was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School. He raised his family in Monson before spending some time in Florida then returning to Palmer.  For many years Bill worked for the City of Springfield  in the maintenance department for Libraries and Museums.  Most recently he was working in Florida, prior to his declining  health.  Bill loved being outdoors, hiking with family, camping, fishing or clamming.  He enjoyed the ocean especially the Rhode Island shore.  Bill enjoyed watching the Patriots, NASCAR and drag racing.

Bill leaves his wife Susan J. (Laitress)  Thornholt; their children, Jessica L. Thornholt and her partner, Keith Berry of Ware, Andrew P. Thornholt and his partner Jessica Bickle of Palmer; brothers, Walter Thornholt Jr. of Colorado and Steven Thornholt of Florida;  five grandchildren, Logan, Kaydence, Aidan, Zachary, and Alexander as well as many nieces and nephews.  Bill was predeceased by his sister, Linda Wilson.

Lombard Funeral Home of Monson has been entrusted with Bill's arrangements.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 5-8pm in the funeral home.  Bill's funeral service will be held Friday, May 13th, 2022 at 11am in  Federated Community Church  590 Main St. Hampden MA 01036.
