William Gregoire

William G. Gregoire, 85, of Main St. died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at home. Born August 14, 1924 in Wales, MA to the late George and Emma (Johnson) Gregoire, he has been a life long resident here. He was a graduate of Cole Trade High School in Southbridge and an Army Veteran of WWII. Bill worked at Zero Manufacturing in Monson retiring after more than 25 years. He was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield and was among the founding members of the Wales VFW and the Wales Fish and Game Club. He was also active with the Wales Fire Department and the Wales Police Department. He served as a Cemetery Commissioner for many years. Bill had a deep love of family and spending time outdoors.

William leaves his wife of 56 years Leona (Alcorn) Gregoire; a son James W. Gregoire of Holland; a daughter Janice M. Samek and her husband Bernard Jr. of Wales; two granddaughters Katrina Gregoire of Wales and Annie Gregoire of Holland and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother Edwin Gregoire; sister Marie Minchoff and his daughter in-law Holly Gregoire.
