Biography
Monson- William H. "Bill" Aldrich, 80, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, surrounded by the love of family. Born October 19, 1931 in Monson to the late Arthur and Lila (Plumley) Aldrich he has been a life long resident here. He was and Army Veteran of Korea. Bill worked at Caraster- Box Shop, the former Federal Paper Board for 50 years. He was a member of the National Railway Historical Society and a railway enthusiast.
Bill leaves his sisters Elizabeth Aldrich of Palmer and Joan Dineen and her husband Robert of Kissimee, FL; his brothers George Aldrich and his wife Ann of Shrewsbury and Edward Aldrich of Palmer as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Visiting hours will be from 9:30-11:30 am with a funeral service at 11:30 in the funeral home. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Moulton Hill Cemetery also in Monson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
