Wilhelmine O. Miller
1905-2008
Springfield-Wilhelmine O. (Lauermann) Miller, 103, of Reeds Landing died peacefully May 7, 2008 with her family at her side. Born in Glendale Missouri to the late George and Louise (Br`une) Lauermann, she lived in the Webster Groves and Kirkwood area of Missouri until moving to Reeds Landing in 2000. Wilhelmine was the youngest of four daughters Louise, Mamie and Frieda who have predeceased her. She was a charter member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Webster Groves, MO. She attended Cape Girardeau (MO) State College and taught elementary school before marrying Donald G. Miller in 1929. In earlier years she was a Cub Scout Den Mother, active in church activities, the Philo Study Club and the neighborhood Stitch & Chatter. Later, when her children were grown there was family visits, numerous trips to pursue a love of the scenery and culture of western states as well as some to Europe. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her husband of 68 years in 1997. She leaves two sons Robert Miller and his wife Carol Hamblin of Altamont, NY and Roy Miller and his wife Lyle of Monson, MA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held Saturday May 17, 2008 in the First Church of Monson at 11am located on High St. in Monson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Lombard Funeral Home of Monson has been entrusted with the arrangements.
