Wayne M. Beyor, 81, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at home surrounded by family. Wayne was born April 8, 1928 in Bakersfield, VT to the late James and Naomie(Britch) Beyor and moved to Monson in 1951. Wayne retired after 27 years from Metal Culvert now known as Contech Construction Products, Inc in Palmer as head of the company safety program. He was also the secretary of the steel union. After retirement, Wayne returned to work on a part time basis to work with his son Steven in the construction business. He was the past president of the Lions Club in Monson, and a member of the Palmer Lions Club, he coached little league in Monson for five years, was a member of the Senior Club and First Church of Monson. The most fulfilling part of Wayne's life was being with his family. He enjoyed golfing with his son and grandson, bowling, hunting and fishing. Wayne was very active in his grandchildren's lives and always treasured being a part of their activities.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn (Martin) Beyor and their children, Joyce Darling and husband Robert of Bradenton, FL; Susan Payne and husband Michael of Adair, Ok, son Steven Beyor and wife Deborah of Monson, MA; his sister in-law Jeanette Breault of Monson, MA. His grandchildren that gave him so much joy, RaeAnn Darling and husband Philip, Telisha Malek and husband Justin, Jeremy Beyor and wife Mary, Lindsey Beyor, Garrett Beyor, Tanya Flock and husband Philip, Stephanie Taylor and husband Zac, Michael Payne Jr. and wife Kerry; nine great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog Mickey. Wayne was pre deceased by his son Ricky in 1959 and also his siblings, Glen, Floyd, Donald, Robert, Owin, Ruby and Beverly.

A memorial service will be held Friday July 3, 2009 at 11am in the First Church of Monson 5 High St. Monson, MA. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 Monson, MA 01057, Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice 50 Maple St. Springfield, MA 01102 or the First Church of Monson 5 High St. Monson, MA 01057.
