Wales-W. Alexandra Pietrowski (Norma Jean Chambers), 62, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, surrounded by the love of family. Born in Portland, Maine, July 14, 1949, to the late Bruce McBane and Ella Chambers, she has been a longtime resident of Wales. Alexandra was a case manager working at residential group homes. Her life was dedicated to helping people, unconditionally, with mental disabilities. She had a love of animals and was involved with animal rescue groups. She enjoyed creative writing and wrote children's books and song lyrics. Her happiest times were spending time with family and vacationing at Hampton Beach.
Alexandra leaves her four children, Norman Whitman and his wife Belinda, Claude Whitman and Dr. Shanoah Whitman, all of Wales and Elisha Raczkowski and her husband Jay of Sturbridge; her brothers and sisters Louis Blair of Sturbridge, Judy Mantha of Wales, Wayne Chambers of Brimfield, Karen Shepard of Warren, Kathy Senosk of Sturbridge and Donald Chambers of Wales; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Mark, Alexia, Kaileigh-Madison, Jack, Willem and Isabel; three great grandchildren, Cameron, Savannah and Morgan.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 from 9-11am at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130.
