Virginia Yelinek

Virginia L.(Heck) Yelinek, 75, of Haynes Hill Road died Thursday, May 21, 2009. Born in Wales to the late Charles M. and Madeliane (Baker) Heck she has been a life long resident of Wales. Ginny was a 1950 graduate of Hitchcock Academy in Brimfield. She worked as a dispatcher for area trucking companies for many years and most recently she was a staff member as well as a volunteer for Greater Springfield Senior Services. She played pitch in both Wales and Monson, she enjoyed holiday baking and cooking, was an avid gardner and enjoyed being a homemaker. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Yelinek in 1999. She leaves their children Joseph Yelinek and his wife Paula of Wales, and Janice Gedaminsky and her husband Thomas of Marlborough; two grandchildren Stephanie Yelinek and Jason Yelinek, several neices and nephews and her cocker spaniel Daisy. Ginny was predeceased by two brothers Cutler Heck and Myron Heck. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson with burial at Wales #4 Cemetery, Laurel Hill Road, Wales. Visiting hours will be Tuesday May 26, 2009 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
