Thomas J Reed

Wales-Thomas J. Reed passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, January 22, 2025 at the age of 86. Tom was born in Pittsfield, MA, March 9, 1938 to the late Thomas C. and Helen D. (Kushi) Reed. He was a graduate of high school and enlisted in the Navy. He was honorably discharged and began his career as a steam room engineer. Tom retired from American Optical in Southbridge after many years.

Tom was an active member of the Wales Fish and Game Club where he served as a board member. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.

Thomas was predeceased by his wife Sally (Tompkins) Reed in 2013, he was also predeceased by his son, Bruce Reed in 2006 and a grandson Todd Reed in 2017. Tom leaves his grandsons Jeffrey Reed and his partner Chelsey Hines of Wales, Scott Reed and his wife Samantha of Palmer; daughter in-law Monique T. Reed, granddaughter in-law, Jessica Reed; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Jackson, Elora, Lena, Logan and Grayson.

Services have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson. Services will be held in the Spring at Wales #4 Cemetery with the date to be announced.
