Theresa Partelo

Biography

Monson-Theresa L. Partelo (St. Peter) passed peacefully on Sunday, March 8th surrounded by her loving family. A longtime resident of Monson, she was born to the late Leo and Lovey St. Peter in 1929. She was a communicant of St Patrick's Church in Monson where she was a member of the Bethany Choir and was a past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella. She worked for the Monson school system and then was employed at Mass Mutual Company until she retired in 1991. She later was a volunteer at the Monson Senior Center. Her love for bingo, the Red Sox, the Patriots and the Celtics kept her very active. She and her husband treasured their annual trips to the islands with the McCarrons, Bacons, and Whitakers. Her husband of 51 years, William, passed in 2003. She was a strong, loving, goodhearted woman who was devoted to her family and made them the center of her life.



She is survived by her four children, Margaret Royce and her husband David, William Jr. and his wife Cathy, Peter and his wife Annette all of Monson, Michael of Brimfield, and the late Christine Grinaski. She leaves 9 grandchildren: William III, Erica, Matthew, Sarah, Meaghan, Bryan, Nicole, Kimberly and Kyle. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren: William IV, Kayla, Alivia and Ethan. She leaves her sister-in-law and best friend Patricia McCarron and her husband Jim. She also leaves her brothers Leonard St. Peter, Paul St. Peter and his wife Evelyn, and Robert St Peter, and a sister Henrietta Williams. She was predeceased by her brother Louis St. Peter and sister Irene Cummings. Special thanks to the staff of Orchard Valley at Wilbraham retirement home for their care and love during her final years.



Calling hours will be held at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St in Monson Wednesday March 11th from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 12th with a procession forming at 9am at Lombard Funeral Home and Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St Patrick's Church in Monson with burial at Bethany Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Restoration fund, PO Box 473, Monson, MA 01057.
