1925-2008
Monson- Stephen Kline, 83, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died at home on July 3, 2008. He retired from Race Machine in Monson. He was formerly employed by First National Stores and Stop & Shop. Born in Chicago he moved to Monson in 1969. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army Air Corps from 1941- 1945, serving in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with Bronze Star, and the World War II Victory Medal. He leaves his wife Hazel (Vivian) Kline and two daughters, Judith Kline and her fiancé Dan Newberry and Patricia Nothe and her husband Francis all of Monson. Four grandchildren, Kimberly Gousse and her husband Dean, Stephen Farr and his wife Christy, Michael and Kristin Nothe and three great grandchildren, Patricia Delisle, Brenden Farr and Charles Gousse. Four brothers and one sister predeceased him. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday July 8th from 6-8pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A committal service will be held Wednesday July 9, 2008, 11am, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
