Sharon A. Allen

Sharon A. (Dane) Allen, 76, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Baystate Wing Hospital after an illness.

Sharon was born on November 22,1948 to Howard and Muriel (Griffin) Dane and had lived most of her life in Monson. She worked many years with her husband, Larry at the family’s oil burner sales & service company as well as Squire Lumber and Hardware in Monson. She was a member of the Ludlow Elks Lodge 2448 and the Chicopee Moose Lodge 1849. Sharon loved “Cruise Night” in her 1966 Mustang Convertible and could always be found at classic car shows. She enjoyed hanging around by the pool and loved to spend time with her family and friends. 

Sharon’s beloved husband of 41 years, Lawrence A. Allen, passed away in 2012. She leaves her sons, Brian E. Allen and partner Susan Syrek of Palmer and Eric H. Allen and his wife, Krista of McKinney, TX; and her grandchildren, Emily, Dane and Arabella Allen. She was predeceased by her brother, Howard Dane, Jr.

Friends may call at the Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge Street, Monson on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 11am in the funeral home followed by interment at Bethany Cemetery in Monson.
