Sarah L. Stone

1937-2008

Palmer- Sarah L. (Lombard) Stone, 71, died at home surrounded by her loving family Saturday, July 12, 2008. Born in Springfield to the late Francis W. and Mildred (Rowell) Lombard, she was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her family and friends meant the world to her. In her earlier years she was a member of Rainbow and Eastern Star. Sarah was a former member of the Second Congregational Church of Palmer and a member of the First Church of Monson, Congregational where she and her husband Gordon “Geneâ€? Stone were married over 43 years ago. Sarah leaves her devoted husband, Gene; a son George F. Stone and his wife Tracy of Portland, Maine; a daughter Tricia Arling and her husband Tim of Cromwell, CT; grandchildren Colton and Brandon Stone, Jennifer and Allison Arling and Alec McLaughlin; sister in-law Barbara J. Stone of Palmer; an Aunt, Eunice King of Manchester, NH; a brother William R. Lombard and his wife Judy of Pleasant Ridge, Maine, and a niece and nephew. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday July 15th from 6-8pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am in the First Church of Monson, Congregational, High St. followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery all in Monson.
