Biography

SANDRA T. LUNDRIGAN
1943-2012

BRIMFIELD - During a gallant fight against a very aggressive cancer, Sandra T. (Camerota) Lundrigan died unexpectedly at the Milford (NH) Medical Center on Monday and entered into eternal life. She was the loving, faithful, and endearing wife of Edward Lundrigan, a devoted mother to her sons Stephen and Shawn (d) Lundrigan and daughters Maria Gray and Regina Graul, and a loving mother-in-law to Scott Gray and Christopher Graul. Her great joy was to be a proud and loving grandmother to Deborah and Rachel Gray and Annabella Graul.

She was born the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Camerota and was preceded in death by her brother Ciro ("Jerry") Camerota and her uncles John and Jerry Camerota. Sandra is survived by her aunts Tomasina (Graziano) Cullinan, Philomena (Graziano) Sterlacci, Rose (Camerota) Normand, and her cousins Peter and Wayne Cullinan, Pat Sterlacci, Carol Signet, and Christine Aussant.

Sandra met her husband Edward while employed as a teller at the Worcester Federal Savings Bank in Springfield, Massachusetts. After marriage she devoted herself to her family and children. She returned to work in the early 1980's at the Iandoli's/Shaws Supermarket in Sturbridge and retired seven years ago after having been a Front End Manager and then Personnel Manager. In the years since her retirement she has made homemade jewelry (under the name "Sandra D"), worked as the Office Manager of her son Stephen's counseling practice, and joyfully served as part-time nanny for her beloved granddaughter Annabella.

Sandra touched all she met with her customary grace, loving concern, and genuine compassion. Loyal to and protective of her family, she rarely missed any family function and was a true friend to her close companions who she regarded and treated as the sisters she never had. She was an active member of St. Christopher's church in Brimfield where she regularly worshipped, was a member of the Woman's Club, and co-taught First Communion class. In addition, she was a 30 year member of St. Michael's Fraternity of the Secular Fransciscan Order. Always trusting in the power of prayer, her strong faith in God supported her during her illness and served as an example for others. We are sure that in His mercy He has taken her home to Himself where she shall receive the reward she so greatly longed for and deserved.

Calling hours will be on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. in Monson, MA.
