Biography

Wales- Rosemary D. "Mickey"(McHugh) Burdick, 66, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014. Rosemary was born March 20, 1948 in Newark, NJ to the late Francis and Doris (Nitzger) McHugh. She has been a resident of Wales since 1998. Rosemary was the tax collector for the Town of Wales for several years and she was very active in the community. She was a member and an integral part of the Wales Baptist Church where she was the church secretary and coordinated many of the church functions along with her husband Pastor Gary Burdick. Rosemary was also a member of the Wales Fish and Game Club.


Rosemary leaves her husband, Gary A. Burdick; sons, Scott F. Schumann and his fiance, Andrea Vickers of Westfield, MA and Jerrid Burdick and his wife Diane of Clarksburg, MA; a daughter Jill Ann LaRocque and her husband Kevin of Warren, MA; two sisters Carol Parece and her husband Michael of Bourne, MA and Maureen Callaghan and her husband James of Nuttley, NJ; three grandchildren, Cory Schumann, Sydney LaRocque and Ryleigh LaRocque.



Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2-6pm in Lombard Funeral Home in Monson. The funeral service will be held Saturday November 29, 2014 at 11am in the Wales Baptist Church in Wales. Burial will take place on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11am in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
