Roland D. Burton

Palmer- Roland D Burton 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Wing Hospital in Palmer. Roland was born on March 28, 1935 to the late Darrell and Marion (Clark) Burton in Corinna Maine. Roland later moved to Western Mass where he earned a degree from STCC and went on to do insurance evaluations for ISO. While Roland enjoyed his time in Mass, he was always eager to go back to Maine and visit where he grew up. He was also a member of Kingdom Hall in Brimfield, where he was an Elder for many years.

Roland leaves behind the love of a large family. While he was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Fuller) Burton, he leaves his son, Michael Burton of Palmer; daughter, Sherry Gillen of Palmer; sister, Darolyn Weston of Maine. He leaves grandchildren, Benjamin Burton, Brandi Gillen Hing, Jonathan Gillen and Bethany Gillen, and great grandchildren Hiro Hing, Fumiko Hing, and Max Gonzalez, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 10 siblings

A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 133 Old Palmer Rd., Brimfield, MA on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 1:00pm. Lombard Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
