Biography


Monson- Roger R. Pincince, 90, died Saturday, August 17, 2013. Born in Monson, August 10, 1923, to the late Elphege and Antionette Pincince, he was a life long resident of Monson. Roger attended Monson Academy and was a WW II Navy Veteran, where he served as a Machinist Mate First Class. Roger retired from Lane Construction in Westfield, where he was a heavy equipment operator for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 98.

Mr. Pincince was pre-deceased by his wife Veronica (Curnan) Pincince in 1994 and a daughter Elizabeth Sanderson in 2011. He leaves a daughter Miriam Pincince of Worcester, two sons Philip Pincince and his wife Lois of Dunbarton, NH and David Pincince and his wife Erin of Palmer; a brother John Pincince of Johnson City, TN; eight grandchildren, Kate, Leanne, Joseph, Haley, Lindsey, Wesley, Madeline and Mahala and three great grandchildren, Ava, Aine, and Jacqueline.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 beginning at 9:15 at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery also in Monson. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund, PO Box 335, Monson, MA 01057.
