Robert H. Ungewitter, 71, died March 18, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Palmer July 11, 1938 to the late Harry O. and Henrietta (Kepp) Ungewitter, he has been a lifelong resident of Monson. Robert was a press operator at Cascade Diamond in Thorndike for 41 years. He was a member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church.
Robert leaves his loving wife of 50 years, who was devoted to his care, Nancy A. (Robichaud) Ungewitter; their children Stephen R. Ungewitter of Brockton, MA, Robert H. Ungewitter, Jr of Monson, AnneMarie Ungwitter of Monson and Cynthia L. Heine and her fiance` Scot Ferguson of Monson; grandchildren Christopher Heine, Robert H. Ungewitter III, Amanda Sinclair and Michael Sinclair; and a sister Jean King of Hampton, NH. Robert was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Witkowski.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 22, 2009 at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St. Monson at 10am with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery also in Monson. Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2-4pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 Monson, MA 01057.
