Biography
Monson-Robert E. Grammo, 69, died Monday, June 25, 2012. Born in Ware to the late Edmund C. and Marion D. (Pierre) Grammo he has been a life long resident of Monson. Bob was a graduate of Springfield Trade High School. He worked at Wright's in Warren and then Zero Manufacturing in Monson where he retired from after more than 30 years. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #776 for many years. Bob also collected coins, built model trains and raised exotic birds. He enjoyed camping and vacationing at the beach.
Robert was predeceased by his wife Arline M. "Penny" (Bessette) Grammo in 2004. He leaves their children Robert E. Grammo Jr. and his wife Myra of South Hadley, Timothy Grammo and his wife Jane of Warren and Linda Bisnette and her husband James of Ware; three sisters Betty Mitchell of Hampden, Marion Appleby of Monson and Patricia Scheid of Virginia; and four grandchildren, Sarah and Holly Grammo, Allyson Grammo and Stephanie Bisnette as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 5-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10 am at Lombard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
