Robert H Foisy, Sr

Monson- Robert H. Foisy, Sr, 83, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, surrounded by the love of family.  Bob was born in Monson, August 13, 1933 to the late Harley J and Louise (Laverdiere) Foisy and has been a lifelong resident here.  He was a graduate of Monson High School.  Bob retired from Palmer Paving in 1995 where he was a heavy equipment operator.  He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson, a member of the Operating Engineers Local 98 and a member of the Tri-Town Horseshoe League in Palmer.


Bob leaves his wife of 61 years, Lois J. (Turnberg) Foisy and their children; Robert H. Foisy Jr and his wife Kathleen of Belchertown, Ronda Brown and her husband Russell of Palmer, Brenda Pelissier of Monson, Patricia Brennan and her husband Joseph of Plymouth; a sister Jeanette Wytas and her husband Norman of Florida; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great granddaughters.


Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10am in St. Patrick's Church with burial at Bethany Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4-7pm in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St in Monson.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield Donation Dept, 516 Carew St Springfield, MA 01104 or Baystate Hospice 280 Chestnut St, 6th Floor, Springfield, MA 01199.
