Richard Wortman

Biography

Richard B. Wortman, 67, of Monson died suddenly Monday , August 2, 2010. Born in Niskayuna, New York to the late Floyd E. Wortman and Dora L. (Johnson) Wortman, he was a graduate of West Genesee Central High School and has lived in Monson since 1999. For many years he was a Terminal Manager for the trucking company Matlack Inc. Most recently he was a Realtor for Coldwell Banker in Westfield. Dick was also a member of the Thomas Lodge of Masons in Palmer.

Richard leaves his wife Sylvia J. (Holt) Wortman; a son Richard A. Wortman and his wife Linda of Westfield, a daughter Sandra Griesenauer and her husband Jeff of Indiana; step-children Scott Bratianu of Monson, David Bratianu and his wife Pat of Florida, Paul Samek and his wife Carrie of North Smithfield, RI, Lisa Roche and her husband David of Monson; a brother Barry Wortman and his wife Denise of Leominster, MA; fifteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dick was predeceased by his brother Floyd Wortman.
