Richard H Martin

Stafford Springs, CT- Richard H. Martin, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Richard was born in Palmer, MA June 21, 1938, to the late Harry Wesley Martin and Edna W. (Ritter) Martin.  He grew up on Lake Sherman in Brimfield, MA.  Richard owned a franchise route for Mutual Biscuit Company and was affectionately known as the "Cookie Man". He also worked for many different Soda Companies including Coke, Pepsi and 7-Up.  In the most recent years he worked at the Rockville Courthouse for the Sheriff's Department. He was an avid golfer and  member at Quaboag Country Club in Monson.  He would often travel to various golf courses through out the summer.  Richard loved all sports and traveling.

Richard was predeceased by his wife Arlene F. (Paris) Martin in 2012; his son, Dennis Martin and his brother, Robert W. Martin in February of 2022. He leaves a son, Scott A. Martin and his wife Maria of Stafford Springs, CT and a granddaughter, Mayamiko Martin; sister in-law, Portia Palardy of Stafford Springs and brother in-laws, Guildo Paris and Francis Paris of Stafford Springs as well as nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at Brimfield Cemetery 28 Wales R. Brimfield MA at 11am to honor both Richard H. Martin and Robert W. Martin.  In  lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
