Biography
Monson- Richard Anable, 68, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Palmer, July 14, 1944 to the late Fred A. and Eva K. (Trotta) Anable, he was a longtime Monson resident. Richard was a graduate of Monson High School class of 1962, a Graduate of The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Graduate of the State University of New York, Albany where he received his Masters degree in Library Science. Richard was a software developer for University Library computer systems. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed local history. Richard was a participant with the informal group "Monson Historical Hikers".
He leaves his son Eric Anable and his wife Jeanette of Billerica; daughter, Robin Anable of Worcester; brother David Anable and his wife Karen of Monson; sister, Jane Anable of Springfield and two grandchildren Frederic and Henry Anable as well as many cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 from 5-8pm in Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St. Monson. Burial will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Free Library High St. Monson, MA 01057.
