Ray served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by KingWard Trailways in Chicopee for the past 15yrs until his illness in June of 2009. Ray was a member and past Master of Indian Orchard Masonic Lodge and a three time past Master of Day Spring Lodge in Monson and a member of Melha Shrine. He has served on several committees, unit head officer and served for several years as an aid to many Potentate's and at the time of his death he proudly served as the Potentate's personal aid. The Shrine was one of Ray's greatest joys. Both he and his wife enjoyed their travels with the Shrine.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday December 2, 2009 from 4-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A prayer service will be held at 5:30pm, a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30pm and Military honors will take place at 8pm. A Memorial service will be held Thursday December 3, 2009 at 10am in the Melha Shrine Center 133 Longhill St. in Springfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers Ray wishes that his family, extended family and friends will help take care of his wife in his absence and help her with his large expenses from his illness.
