Phillip Dana Plumley, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on February 24, 2025. Born on February 23, 1938, in Monson, to the late Ray Hale and Clara Ella (Boomhower) Plumley. Phillip graduated from Springfield Trade School and worked many jobs utilizing his skills as a mechanic, but his passion was his farm. He enjoyed raising cattle and spending time on his tractor tending to the land and the farm.
Phillip was not just a man of talent in his profession he also embraced a variety of interests throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed stock car racing, Boston Red Sox, snowmobiling, fishing, holiday gatherings and spending time with family playing cards.
Phillip was predeceased by his wife Lillian of 53 years who passed away in 2013. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Lynn E. Smith and her husband Jeff of Windsor Locks, Laurie A. Belliveau and her husband Ray of Monson, and Susan M. Jett and her husband Drew of Monson. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Putek, who carries fond memories of their lives together.
His legacy continues with his beloved grandchildren: Stacy, Drew, Justin, Thomas, Phillip, Katherine, Victoria, and Ethan, along with his great-grandchildren, Lillian, Henry, Bode and Theodore. The warmth of his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his several nieces and nephews who cherished their times with him.
Phillip was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Lawrence, and his sisters, Harriet, Shirley, and Faye. His acts of kindness and sense of humor will remain in our memories and hearts forever.
