Phila K Vaill

Monson-Phila Kellogg Vaill, 100, passed away Saturday March 12, 2016.  She was born  October 8, 1915 in Palmer MA to the late Arthur and Alice (Carpenter) Vaill. She graduated from Monson High School in 1933 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1938 with a BS degree.  She worked at Baystate Medical Center from 1942 until 1986 when she retired as a Supervisory Technologist for Anatomic Pathology.  Phila was an active member serving in local, state and national professional organizations for Medical Technology and Histotechnology.  She was a member of the First Church of Monson, Congregational,  Monson Historical Society, Monson Button Club, Springfield Library and Museums Society and the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

Phila is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Stanley and Donald and her sister Bernice.

Funeral Services will by held on Monday, March 21st at 10 am in the  First Church of Monson, Congregational, High Street, Monson with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery also in Monson.
