Biography

Brimfield- Paul A. Mimeault, Sr, 76, died, Saturday, October 26, 2013, peacefully surrounded by the love of family. Born in Worcester, August 11, 1937 to the late Adelard and Loretta (Lareau) Mimeault, Paul was raised in North Brookfield and has lived in Brimfield the last 42 years.. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and attended Westfield State College. Paul was a machinist by trade and shared his knowledge and talent as a teacher at Pathfinder Regional Vocational High School in Palmer for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. Paul also owned and operated Majestic Studio of Photography for many years. After retiring he worked part time at St. Thomas Church for custodial and maintenance. He was the photographer for area police and fire departments, was the fire inspector for Brimfield, Holland and Wales Fire Departments, active with the Brimfield Fire Association, was a member of the Mass Teachers Association and National Education Association, member of the Palmer Lions Club, a communicant of St. Thomas Church in Palmer and a Fourth Degree Knight as well as past Grand Knight. Paul enjoyed playing golf and getting to know people. He was a grateful recipient of a liver transplant which gave him 17 additional years of his life.

Paul leaves his wife of 41 years Carole E. (Closson) Mimeault, two sons, Paul A. Mimeault Jr. of Bakersfield, CA, James Mimeault of Ellington, CT; two daughters Deborah and her husband Harry Adler of Corning, NY and Sandra and her husband Daniel Wright of Deland, FL; two step-sons Matthew and his wife Joanne Valerio of Proctor, VT and Paul Valerio and Paula Brown; two brothers Leon and his wife Beverly Mimeault of North Brookfield and Peter and Rebecca Mimeault of Northborough and Sturbridge; and a sister Annette and her husband Charles Smith Jr of Hopedale; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, October 31, 2013 beginning at 10am at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1076 Thorndike St. in Palmer. Burial will follow in Brimfield Cemetery in Brimfield. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
