Biography
Norman S. Olsen, 84, of Stafford Road, died November 22, 2010. Born in Auburn, MA, July 10, 1926 to the late Harry and Ruth (Simpson) Olsen. He served with the Army during WWII. He then worked for the VA Hospital in Rutland and retired from Government Services Administration in Boston after more than 25 years of service. Norman was known for his love of cars and boats, he is known to all for his exceptional handshake. He devoted his life to his family and working in his garage, always there to help a friend. No project was too big for Norman to tackle.
He leaves his wife of 63 years Dorothy I. (Sanstrom) Olsen; sons Bruce N. Olsen and his wife Frances of Duxbury, VT, Paul H. Olsen and his wife Mary of Monson; grandchildren Michael Olsen, Matthew Olsen, Gina Nicks and Liz Henrichon; a brother, Kenneth Olsen of Spencer, MA and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Warren and Donny and sister Beverly Sjolander.
