Nancy C Morrell

Monson-Nancy C. (Nasiatka) Morrell, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 74 on November 22, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in New London, CT April 2, 1950. She is deeply missed by her loving husband of 45 years, John Morrell, their two children; Nicole Morrell and Jennifer Morrell, as well as her dearly beloved grandson, Trey Bendolph. Nancy is also survived by her brother, Stephen Nasiatka, her nephews; Stephen Nasiatka, Thomas Nasiatka, Robert Nasiatka and his wife, and her great niece and nephew. She also leaves behind many close family members and longtime friends.

 Nancy has been a longtime resident of Monson. She was a graduate of Monson High School and continued her education at Holyoke Community College where she graduated with and Associate Degree in early childhood education. Her career path led her to begin her career as a teller at Shawmut Bank, then advanced to the Assistant Manager position for several years. She then moved on to proudly serve her community as the Monson Town Clerk for 23 years. 

 Nancy was a great cook, an avid animal lover, and a dedicated UCONN basketball fan. She most enjoyed family trips to Old Orchard Beach, going to the casino, taking care of her flowers, and above all, spending quality time with her family and friends. Nancy’s love and devotion to her family was unmatched, and her wisdom, compassion, strength, selflessness, and affection will never be forgotten. 

 Lombard Funeral Home of Monson has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 5:00-8:00pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, 22 Green St Monson. Friends are asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Monson. Memorial donations may be made to the Monson Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 Monson MA 01057.
