Biography

Monson- Matilda "Tillie" (Kaczmarczyk) Gola, 88, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Palmer to the late Anthony and Julia (Lazarz) Kaczmarczyk, she was a graduate of Palmer High School and lived in Monson for over 50 years. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson. Tillie worked at William Wright Co. in Warren and the Monson Academy for several years. The career she was most proud of was being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was an avid Polka dancer and loved Polka music. She was a great cook. Her cooking was enjoyed by many, especially her french toast, banana cream pie and stuffed cabbage. Tillie also was passionate about her colored lead glass collection and enjoyed decorating her home.

Tillie leaves her husband Alfred G. Gola with whom she celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 30th of this year. She also leaves their three children; Deborah Gola Taylor of Athol, MA, Anthony A. Gola of Windsor, MA and Rebecca Gola of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters Sophie Sieron of Monson and Wanda Strycharz of R.I. and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Monday, May 7, 2012 from 6-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 beginning at 9:15am at Lombard Funeral Home, with Liturgy of Christian burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Monson. . In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Life Care Center Resident Council 2399 Boston Rd, Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund PO Box 335 Monson, MA 01057.
