Biography

Monson-Martin "Marty" J. Gamache, 53, died suddenly April 4, 2012 after an industrial accident. Born in Ludlow, August 16, 1958, to the late Joseph C. and Annette A. (Laprade) Gamache, he was a graduate of Putnam Vocational Technical High School and STCC where he received his Master's Electrical License. Marty grew up in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield and has been a resident of Monson since 1986. He worked as a Master Electrician for Classic Envelope in Whittensville and prior he worked for Danaher Tool Group, dba, Easco Tools. Marty was a member of Crossway Christian Church in Palmer, a former member of SNED Royal Rangers and FCF North Eastern Territory. As a hobby he enjoyed GEO caching.

Marty leaves his wife of 33 years Denise J. (Proulx) Gamache; two daughters Rebecca Morash and her husband George of Groton, CT, Elizabeth Hummel and her husband Brad of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers,Gerard Gamche of Three Rivers and Joseph Gamache of Chicopee: three sisters, Charlene St. Onge of Springfield, Lynette Gagne of Illinois and Yvonne Gamache of Brimfield; two grand daughters Jessica Hummel of Arkansas and Zoey Hummel of Nevada.


A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 5pm at Crossway Christian Church, 1130 South Main Street, Palmer, MA. Threre are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Crossway Christian Church, Building Fund, South Main St. Palmer, MA 01069 or to Springfiled Rescue Mission, C/O Ron Willoughby,
19 Bliss St. Springfield, MA 01105.
