Lori Grippo

Biography

Monson- Lori Ann Grippo, the cherished daughter of Dr. John O. Grippo and Constance M. (Corr) Grippo died Saturday at Wing Memorial Hospital with her loving family, and friends at her side. She was born in Springfield on May 26, 1960 and for many years was a resident at the Monson Development Center. Lori recently moved into a group home in Monson with four of her lifelong friends. Here they all enjoyed the warmth, fun, and companionship that can be provided in these well designed homes. Lori has two special friends, Isabel Ksen of Ware and Lorie Combs a staff member in her home who loved her dearly and made her very happy. In addition to her parents, Lori leaves a sister, Mary Jo Prater and her husband Robert S. Prater Jr of St. Simons Island, GA; two brothers, John C. Grippo and his wife Violetta Grippo of Longmeadow; and Steven E. Grippo and his wife Janel Cunneen of Boston; very dear nieces and nephews, Alison C. Prater, Robert S. Prater III, Emily G. Prater, Matthew J. Grippo, James H. Grippo, Michael G. Grippo, Richard Cuyler Grippo; in addition to many cousins.


Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11am in St Mary's Church, 519 Longmeadow St., in Longmeadow. Burial will follow at Longmeadow Cemetery on Williams St., Longmeadow, MA. There are no visiting hours. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Parents and Friends of Monson Development Center c/o K. Dawn Roy, 316 Harkness Ave. Springfield, MA 01118.
