Biography

Palmer- Linda E. (Johnson) Chaiffre, 64, died Friday, October 14, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. Born August 19, 1947, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada to the late Charles and Eileen Ruth Pearl (Hatch) Johnson she was a graduate of Berkshire Community College and was a Paralegal for Attorney David Craig Cafarelli in Pittsfield, MA. Linda has lived in Palmer for the past seven years. She enjoyed going to "Tag Sales" and to the ocean. Her greatest joy came from being with her children and grandchildren.


Linda leaves her longtime companion Steven P. Mach "Bobo"; her son, William M. Chaiffre of Monson; her daughter, Melissa Hibbard and her husband Jack of Monson; three brothers Ronald Johnson and his wife Patricia of Davenport, FL, Richard Johnson and his wife Cynthia of North Brookfield, Steven Johnson and his wife MaryJane of Ashfield; a step-son Steven Mach Jr. and his wife Kristen of Elizabeth, CO; five grandchildren; Lauren, Jamie and Amber Messer, Olivia and Charly Mach and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Friday October 21, 2011 at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Family will recieve friends from 4-5pm with a funeral service at 5pm at the funeral home.
