Monson- Lillian R. (Beaulieu) Plumley, 73, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 surrounded by the love of family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born July 6, 1939 in Rockville, CT to the late Clarence W. and Helen E. (Dobosz) Beaulieu, she was raised in Monson and was a graduate of Monson High School. Lillian worked at Sanderson Macleod in Palmer and then at Zero Manufacturing in Monson, retiring after 30 years. Lillian enjoyed reading, gardening and her greatest joy came from her family.
Lillian leaves her husband of 52 years, Phillip D. Plumley and their three daughters; Lynn Alexander and her fiancee Jeff Smith of Windsor Locks, CT, Laurie and Ray Belliveau of Monson, Susan and Drew Jett of Monson; brothers Raymond Beaulieu and Alan Beaulieu both of Monson; sisters, Sheila Desmond of Gloucester, MA and Carol Barrett of Dudley, MA and eight grandchildren, Victoria, Ethan, Justin, Thomas, Katherine, Drew, Phillip, and Stacy. Lillian was pre-deceased by a sister Barbara Martell.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Baystate Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice 280 Chestnut St, 6th Floor, Springfield, MA 01199.
