Biography

Wales-Katherine E.(Kodes) Dolloff, 66, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 surrounded by the love of family. Born in Springfield to the late Vincent J. and Katherine (Coullahan) Kodes, she has been a resident of Wales for most of her life. Katie and her husband Joe owned and operated "Betty Kate & Grampa Joe's" concession stand at the Brimfield Flea Market. Her passions were collecting salt & pepper shakers and Betty Boop memorabilia. Katie was a Jack of all trades, always quick witted with a smile on her face.



Katie leaves her Husband and best friend Josiah B. Dolloff, Jr; a son. Timothy M. Aldrich and his wife Katrina of W. Warren; two daughters Laurie A. Allard of W. Warren and Angel L. Mahan of Charlton; two brothers Vincent Kodes Jr. of Vermont and Robert Kodes of Wales; five sisters, Elizabeth Sanford of W. Brookfield, Jeanne Mongeau of Wales, Cecelia May of Monson, Donna Kingsland of North Carolina and Patricia Post of W. Brookfield; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Cameron, Kevin, Matthew, Larissa, Kyle, Marilyn and Samantha; two great grandchildren, Ariana and Ava, and she had a special place in her heart for her dogs Princess and Nacho and her cats Fluffy and Charlie. Katie was pre-deceased by her sister Cynthia Woodman earlier this year.


The family will receive friends and family Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 5-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to, Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Road E. Brookfield, MA 01515.
