Biography




Monson-Karen Beatrice (Nyzio) Cavannah, 41, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born June 30, 1973, and was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School. She was a senior member of the USO and a member of the PTSO. Karen moved to Monson in 2000 and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a volunteer at Quarry Hill School. She lived her life giving to others especially children. Her greatest joy was making sure others were happy, giving strength to those who needed it. In return she received her strength by making people happy.



Karen leaves her loving husband David R. Cavannah and their children Deven and Dylan at home; her mother Brenda Richardson and her husband Peter of South Deerfield, her father Bernard Nyzio and his wife Lisa of Pennsylvania; her Brother Bernard Nyzio III and his wife Dawn of Texas; nieces, nephews and friends.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church 22 Green St. Monson. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery also in Monson. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cavannah Children's Fund c/o Monson Savings Bank PO Box 188, Monson, MA 01057.
