Judith “Judy” Grace Nasiatka, 73, passed away from cancer on Sunday, August 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at home on Bogan Road, her favorite place. Born January 20, 1949 in Springfield, MA, Judy was the daughter of Paul Gilbert Brown and Grace Edith (Belcher) Brown. She graduated from Monson High School and was a 1971 graduate of Westfield State College. She was a wife, mother, teacher, model, homemaker, friend, and committed grandmother.
Judith married the love of her life, Stephen Nasiatka, on July 24, 1982 at St. Patrick’s Church in Monson. They honeymooned at Silver Beach on Cape Cod and welcomed three sons in the early 80s. Judy and Steve enjoyed spending time together with their grandchildren, sitting by the lake, watching Jeopardy, and relaxing by the pool.
Judy lived a private life with few expectations and was a loving presence in her family. She loved horses, long walks, fashion, clothes and nature. Her family and friends will always remember her storytelling, sense of humor, kindness, strength and beauty.
Judith will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Steve, of 40 years, and their children, Stephen and his wife Aimee, Thomas, and Robert and his wife Gabby, and her four grandchildren Avery, Merryn, Benny and Gia.
Judy also leaves her loving nieces, nephews and her dear friend, Cheryl. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Paul "Sandy" and David Brown.
A special thank you to Becky, Gabby and Cheryl for assisting Judy in her final days.
A public graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Bethany Cemetery, located on Bethany Road in Monson.
