Palmer-John A. Nichols,87, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 surrounded by love of family.  John was born in Monson, March 31, 1935 to the late John "Jack" and Josephine (Verlotta) Nichols.  He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1954 and being honorably discharged in 1957.  For over 30 years John was a security guard for local businesses.  He loved hunting and fishing, visiting Cape Cod to go camping and surf casting, he was also an avid Red Sox fan. Most of all, John was a loving Father, Grandfather and Pepe.

John leaves his daughter Melinda Trudell and husband Roger of Monson; grandchildren, Roger Trudell, Jr, Erica Lubomski and husband Michael, and Andrew McCabe; great grandchildren, Olivia, Jaxon, and Violet; a sister, Dolores Potts of Palmer; a brother, Anthony Nichols of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  John was predeceased by two daughters, Brenda Trant and Sharleen McCabe; his sisters, Collen Warnock, Marie Holmberg, Arlene Cherry, Beverly Smith and Betty Madelle,

Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022  from 9-10 am at the funeral home.  Burial and Military honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 11am.
