Biography

Monson-Joan M. (Heintz) Bacon, 75, of Bethany Road died Thursday, June 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born February 25, 1936 in Ware, MA to the late Arthur F. and Josephine M. (DePace) Heintz, she was a graduate of Monson High School and a lifelong resident of Monson. Joan also spent many of her retirement years in Rotonda West, Florida. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She worked for the Monson School Department and retired from Friendly Ice Cream Corp. Joan received her greatest joy from taking care of family and friends both in Monson and Florida. She was an excellent cook; she loved the beach, traveling and taking care of her home.

Joan leaves her husband of 58 years Fisk H. Bacon Jr.; sons Fisk H. Bacon III and his wife Jana of Wilbraham, Matthew Bacon and Michelle Aucoin of Monson, daughters; Denise Beaupre and her husband Peter of Monson, Karren Kusek and her husband Steven of Bondsville; sisters Josephine Frederick of Chicopee, Helen Haley of Oregon and Irene Haughey of Chicopee; eight grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Tiffany, Emily, Carrie, Peter and his wife Stacey, Steven Jr., and Courtney; four great grandchildren Madison, Logan, Colin and Jake. Joan was pre deceased by a brother Henry Heintz.
