Janice D (Regan) Rice

Monson-Janice D. (Regan) Rice, 85, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Janice was born in Waterbury, CT on January 25, 1937 to the late John and Ola (Ferguson) Regan.  She graduated from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years.  She was a member of the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.  Janice enjoyed quilting, playing cards (especially cribbage and pitch) and traveling.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Alan B. Rice.  She leaves her children; Alan Rice of Pahrump, NV; Timothy Rice (Melanie) of Wolcott, CT; Catherine Rice of Cleveland, TN; and Jennifer Bressette (Andrew) of Rome, GA; and her nine grandchildren; her life partner, Russell Bressette of Monson, MA; his children, Andrew Bressette (Jennifer) of Rome, GA;  Maria Fontaine (Scott) of Palmer, MA; Michelle Winer (Marc) of Agawam, MA; and his four grandchildren.

Janice also leaves ten siblings and their families; Donald Regan [deceased] (Sandra); Barry Regan (Monica); Joan Brown (Alan); Carol Morris (Glen); Linda Pranulis (David); Charles Regan (Linda); Shirley Fador [deceased] (Jack) [deceased]; Marianne Regan; John Regan Jr. (Marlene); and Michael Regan (Kathy).

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, July 26th from  4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St Monson MA, 01057

Liturgy of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church  22 Green St. Monson with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery, also in Monson.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monson Open Pantry PO Box 566 Monson, MA 01057
