Janice Griffin

Monson-Janice A. (McClosky) Griffin, 58, of Gates St., died Thursday February 5, 2009 surrounded by her family. Born in Monson to Joseph W. and Yvonne M. (Yandow) McClosky, Janice grew up in Monson and was a graduate of Monson High School class of 1969. She then lived in Douglas, MA for many years before returning to Monson in 2006. She worked as a manager in group homes for Alternatives Unlimited in Whitinsville, MA. Janice was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Monson. She leaves her husband Michael E. Griffin, her parents Joseph and Yvonne McClosky of Monson, children; Michael P. Griffin and his wife Karen of North Carolina, Marie A. Bell of Whitinsville, MA, and Joseph W. Griffin and his wife Tasha of Worcester; a brother Joseph W. McClosky Jr.and his wife Amy of Monson and sister Deborah Marvell of Lowell, MA and seven grandchildren Sean, Zachary, Patrick, Matthew, Gabriella, Connor and Evan. Visiting hours will be Sunday February 8, 2009 from 2-5pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 2008 beginning at 9:15 from Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church and burial at Bethany Cemetery all in Monson.
