Biography

Monson- Janice E.(Green) Allen, 74, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 surrounded by the love of family. Born October 3, 1938 in South Gifford, MO to the late Samuel L. and Alma K. (Elliott) Green, she has been a resident of Monson since 1968. Janice retired from the U.S. Post Office after 30 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed a sense of humor that would brighten everyone's day. Janice was an avid reader and often relaxed with a good mystery novel, a cup of coffee and her dog Midge.



Janice was predeceased by her husband George A. Allen III in 1996. She leaves her sons; David S. Graham and his wife Julie of Asheboro, NC and Randy W. Graham and his wife Dawn of Ellington, CT; three brothers Samuel Green and his wife Judy of Lee Summit, MO, Donald Green and his wife Debbie of Lee Summit, MO, Richard "Pete" Shaw and his wife Karen of Lewiston, ME; three sisters, Lynn Plourde and her husband David of East Berlin, CT, Jean Plourde and her husband Guy of Plainville, CT, Diane Bean and her husband Robert of Wells, ME; two grandsons Nicholas Graham of Asheboro, NC, Neil Graham of Worcester,MA and many extended family members.



Visiting hours will be held Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 5-7pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA. Funeral services will be held Monday October 7, 2013 at 11am at Lombard Funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Monson.
