Wales-James Phillip " Dr. Funk" Haley, 57, died suddenly Thursday, October 23, 2014. Phil was born April 2, 1957 in Palmer to John E. and Patricia M. (Moore) Haley. He has been a life long resident of Wales. Funky loved to fish, garden, and genuinely enjoyed helping people. Phil leaves his mother Patricia M. Haley of Wales; his best friend and partner Cindy Randall of Wales; two brothers Peter S. Haley of Stafford Springs, CT and Daniel J. Haley of Wales; two sisters Nancy A. Sherman and her husband Alan of Woodstock, CT and Mary N. Haley of Ware along with several nieces and nephews.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10am in St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield. Family and friends may gather at the church beginning at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Wales#4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Road in Wales. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472.
