Irene E. Racette
1924-2008
Monson-Irene E. Racette, 83, of Green St. died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Worcester Memorial. Born in Waltham, MA to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Egan) Burke she has been a lifelong area resident. Irene retired from the former BayBank Valley after more than 20 years. More recently she lived in St. Petersburg, Florida and worked for the Home Shopping Network. Irene was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the movies. She also enjoyed attending the Monson Senior Center. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Gaston J. Racette in 1985 and a daughter Joyce Racette in 1971. She leaves a daughter Denise Maia of Monson and two sons Robert Racette of St. Petersburg, Florida and Roland Racette of E. Longmeadow; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
