Irene Church

Monson-Irene M. Church, 85, of Palmer Road died Monday, December 22, 2008 at home. Born in Palmer to the late Henry and May (Fortier) Leveille , Irene has been a resident of Monson since 1933. She worked at Monson Developmental Center as a nurses aid for many years. Irene was a member of the First Church of Monson, Congregational and a member of the Quaboag Rebecca Lodge # 169. Irene loved to research family genealogy. She enjoyed crafts and shared her talent of making clown dolls with family and friends. Irene was predeceased by her husband Durward “Mikeâ€? Church in 2005. She leaves her sons Quentin “Mikeâ€? Church of North Carolina, Leland D. Church of Monson, daughter Bonnie and her husband Gary Crocker of Monson and daughter in-law Marilyn Church of Monson; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. Irene was also predeceased by a son Wayne D. Church in 2004. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 10am in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery both in Monson. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-5pm in the funeral home.
