Monson- Helen I. (Ackley) Pikul , passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer. She was born in Spencer, MA, September 6, 1923 to the late Willis and Gladys (Partelo) Ackley. She was employed at Diamond National as an inspector for many years. She was a member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church and active with the United Methodist Women’s Group.
Helen was pre-deceased by her husband Martin W. Pikul in 2001. She is survived by her sons, Martin Pikul, Anthony Pikul; and his wife Joyce, Roger Pikul and his wife Donna all of Monson and a daughter Laura George and her husband Jonathan of Shelburne Falls. She is also survived by her sisters Alice Stockman of Wilbraham, Ruth Pikul of Michigan, Dorothy Raymond of Three Rivers, 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Helen was pre-deceased by a son David Pikul, and three sisters, Gladys Hannum, Shirley Lavoilette and Lois Carrier.
Visiting hours will be held at Lombard Funeral Home on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 1-4pm. A Funeral service will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10am in Lombard Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery all in Monson.
