Belchertown-Helen E. (Moran) LaMontagne, 94, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, surrounded by love of family. Born in Springfield June 29, 1919 to the late John J. and Dagmar E. (Holmes) Moran, Helen was a longtime resident of Monson before living in Brimfield and Belchertown. Helen sewed custom fur coats that she was well known for. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Monson. She loved wildlife and the outdoors. Her greatest joy came from being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Aime A. LaMontagne in 2006 and son David LaMontagne. She leaves a son Aime J. LaMontagne and his wife Evangeline of Belchertown; eight grandchildren, Lawrence LaMontagne, Glen LaMontagne, Kim LaMontagne, Lisa Gray and her husband Robert, Glenn Paul LaMontagne, Andrew LaMontagne, David LaMontagne and Michelle Cordeiro and her husband Joseph; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a sister Muriel Sullivan and her husband George of New York and sister in-law Carole Moran of Florida; a nephew Timothy Sullivan and his wife Frances. Helen was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Moran and John Moran.
