Biography

Ware-Hazel V. Kline, 88, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died 10/15/2014 after a brief illness. She retired from Armco, Inc. in Palmer, where she had worked for 17 years. Born in Chicago, she moved to Monson in 1969, and to Ware MA in 2008. She was a past president of Professional Secretaries International, and passed all six parts of the Certified Professional Examination in 1976. She was a volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of Quaboag Valley, and then as a bill payer in the Money Management Program under the auspices of the Greater Springfield Senior Services. In recent years she was an avid bowler at the Ware Bowling Center. Her husband of 62 years predeceased her in 2008. She leaves two daughters, Judith Newberry and her husband Dan, and Patricia Nothe and her husband Francis, all of Monson. Four grandchildren, Kimberly Farr, Stephen Farr and his wife Christy, Michael and Kristin Nothe and two great grandchildren, Patricia Delisle and Brenden Farr. She also leaves her dear friend, Bernard Piszczek, and two sisters, June L. Dylla and Lois M. Heavington, both living in the Chicago area. A brother, John F. Below, predeceased her. It was her wish to donate her body to UMass Medical Center for anatomical research. Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Details of time and place will be published at a later date. Contributions may be made to First Church of Monson Open Pantry fund, Monson Fire Department Ambulance Fund, or Monson Senior Center.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 12 noon in the First Church of Monson, Congregational, 5 High Street Monson, MA 01057.
