H. William Laisure

Monson-Harold William Laisure, 73, died Sunday, December 9, 2012, surrounded by the love of family. Born February 9, 1939 in Crabapple, Ohio to the late John H. and Elsie L (Williams) Laisure, he was a resident of Warren for many years before moving to Monson in 2003. Bill was a Navy "Sea Bee" and served during both Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Post office in 1992 after 35 years of service. Bill was a member of the Palmer American Legion, Post 130. He enjoyed playing "pitch", watching NASCAR and new England Sports, he loved to travel and most of all spending time with family.
Bill leaves his children; Richmond Laisure and his wife Joan of St. Louis, Missouri, William Laisure and his wife Jennifer of Monson, Brenda Cosby, Susan Spera and Rebekah Perrin all of Warren; a brother Frank Laisure and his wife Barbara of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Chad, Nathan, Jillian, Alexsis, Demitria, Michael, James, John, Evan, Bailey and Mackenzie and nine great grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by a granddaughter Abbigayle Perrin and the Mother of his five children Janice (Hathaway) Laisure.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4-7pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St in Monson. A graveside service with Military Honors will be Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11am at Hillcrest Cemetery, located on Wilbraham Rd in Monson.
