Francis Fountain

Francis E. "Brud" Fountain, 85, passed away surrounded by the love of family Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Born in Warren, MA, January 19, 1925 to the late Wallace and Agnes (Grammo) Fountain, he has been a lifelong area resident. Francis was an Army Veteran of WWII. After serving his country he returned to Warren and operated Fountain's Dairy Products for many years. He was also the Commander of the VFW in West Warren for several years, was a member of the Lions Club in Warren and was on the Warren School Committee. Francis was also a police officer and then Chief of Police in Warren before retirement. He loved to play golf and was a member of Quaboag Country Club in Monson. After retirement he and his wife lived in Florida for many years before returning to Monson to be close to family.

Francis leaves his wife Gertrude L. (Ouellette) Fountain and their children, William E. Fountain and his wife Gail of Longmeadow, Timothy R. Fountain and his wife Catherine of Longmeadow, Susan Fountain of Chatsworth, CA and Ann Metzdorf and her husband Peter of Monson; six grandchildren, Sean Fountain,Sarah Fountain, Andrew Metzdorf, Katelin Metzdorf, Kamil Fountain, Victoria Fountain and a great granddaughter Hailey Fountain
