Floyd L Davenport

Monson – Floyd L. Davenport, 95 passed away at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA on July 13, 2022. Floyd was born in Monson, MA on December 11, 1926 to the late Floyd L Davenport and Cecilia (Alonzo) Davenport. Floyd served in the US Army during World War II, was a member of the Monson Volunteer Fire Department and retired from  Diamond International Corporation of Thorndike, MA in 1988. Floyd loved fishing, hunting, hiking, traveling, mastering the computer and watching the New York Yankees.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie (Moon) Davenport in 1986 and grandson, Raymond Emerson in 1997.  He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Kenneth) Emerson of Apache Junction Arizona; a son, Richard (Evelyn) Davenport of Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Four grandchildren, Wayne (Catie) Emerson and Roger Emerson of Apache Junction, Arizona; Jessie Davenport of Wilpen, Pennsylvania and Larissa Davenport of Seward, Pennsylvania. Three great grandchildren: Elliott, Eva and Ean of Apache Junction, Arizona.

A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
